More Ukrainians travelling to Georgia in 2017


Over the first nine months of 2017, the tourist flow from Ukraine to Georgia has risen 13%.

156,000 tourists from Ukraine visited the Caucasus nation, which 13% more than the same period in 2016, according to Gela Dumbadze, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine.

The most popular destinations for Ukrainian tourists are the capital Tbilisi, the Kakheti region, Adjara, and the Gudauri and Bakuriani ski resorts.

This year, Ukrainian tourists make up the sixth largest inbound tourism group after Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Iran and Turkey.
