AirlineRatings – the well-known online resource has published the TOP-20 of the safest airlines in the world, as well as the TOP-10 of the safest low-cost airlines in the world.
AirlineRatings was founded in June 2013 and evaluates 385 airlines using its unique seven-star rating system. The rating has been used by millions of passengers from 195 countries and has become the industry standard for COVID-19 safety, product and rating.
The assessment took into account a wide range of factors, including: airline disasters and serious incidents, audits by aviation governing and industry bodies, government audits, industry leading safety initiatives, and fleet age.
The safest airline in the world is the Australian Qantas, followed by Qatar Airways, which recently resumed flights to Ukraine. Also in the top are British Airlines, SAS, Lufthansa and KLM - those airlines that fly, have flown or plan to fly to Ukraine.

The safest low-cost airline, according to AirlineRatings, is Air Arabia, which resumed flights to Kyiv on October 25. There are in the top also the well-known airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air, as well as easyJet, which last year received permission to operate flights from Italy to Ukraine, but never used it.
