AirlineRatings ranks 385 airlines using its unique seven-star rating system. The rating has been used by millions of passengers from 195 countries and has become the industry standard for COVID-19 safety, product and rating.

The assessment took into account a wide range of factors: airline disasters and serious incidents, audits by aviation governing and industry bodies, government audits, industry leading safety initiatives, and the age of the fleet.

Australia's Qantas has become the world's safest airline, followed by Qatar Airways, which recently resumed flights to Ukraine. Also in the top are British Airways, SAS, Lufthansa and KLM - those airlines that fly, have flown, and plan to fly to Ukraine.
