Wizz Air announced the launch of the first flight to Boryspil after a 10-year break
«By announcing a new flight from Abu Dhabi International Airport to Boryspil International Airport, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is building bridges between the UAE and Ukraine and affordable options for both business and leisure travel. We strive to develop our route network at Ukrainian airports and expand our activities in Ukraine», the press service of the low-cost airline said.

Denis Kostrzhevsky, the head of the board of directors of Master-Avia – managing company of the Kyiv airport, said: «Wizz Air is switching to Airbus А321, which fly from our airport with some restrictions. And it is long-haul flights to the UAE - this is the boundary range for those aircraft - they must be carried out with fully loaded passengers, cargo and still fully fueled. A321 simply does not take off from the Kyiv airport with a full load. That's why the airline decided to fly to Abu Dhabi from a nearby airport», Kostrezhevsky explained.

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a joint venture of ADQ, one of the largest holding companies in the region, and the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air Holdings Plc. Since its launch in January 2021, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has been operating in 22 destinations and continues to expand its route network.

Wizz Air is the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe. The company's fleet consists of 137 aircraft.
