The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new chatbot that will help Ukrainians abroad 24 hours a day
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has launched a new chatbot for round-the-clock consular support of Ukrainian citizens abroad.

As a UNIAN correspondent reports, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said this during an online briefing.
«Today I am pleased to announce the launch of a new service, a new digital product of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - a chatbot platform for round-the-clock consular support of Ukrainian citizens. The beta version of the digital product of the chatbot is already working and is available in the Telegram messenger, as well as on the Foreign Ministry website. The presence of the chatbot on other platforms of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will only expand, it will be a public service», - Kuleba said.

The Foreign Minister clarified that the chatbot on Telegram can be found at @MFA_support_bot.

«Thanks to this convenient digital product, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian citizens can get the necessary information on consular issues around the clock and from anywhere in the world in just a few clicks. The product is so far designed primarily to help Ukrainian citizens who live abroad or travel abroad», - Kuleba said.

The minister also informed what exactly can be found in this new product. «For example, how to find a consulate and get an appointment, how to get a passport or identity card to return to Ukraine, how to register with a consular office, how to carry out notarial actions and certify documents, how to vote in elections outside of Ukraine, what to do in case of emergencies as well as a number of other consular issues», - he said.

The minister noted that this chatbot will simplify the life of citizens who can easily find out the necessary information right in the messenger.

What the other online services are available to Ukrainian tourists:

  • With the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, more and more services have moved to the online format, including in the field of tourism. For more than a year, the «Vdoma» application has been operating in Ukraine, with the help of which it is controlled how Ukrainians are serving self-isolation upon returning from abroad.
  • In addition, now Ukrainians can find out about the conditions of visiting any country in the world on a special resource of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with an interactive online map.
  • Also, for now in Ukraine, the work of creating vaccination passports is in progress. These documents will allow Ukrainians to travel easier during a pandemic. It is assumed that it will be possible to receive them from July 1, including online.
